1/4″ Brass Tee Fitting – DOT APPROVED – EZ PTC (Push-to-Connect) Union Tee (1 pc)
Our 1/4″ brass Union Tee fitting features an easy push-in design for a rock-solid, DOT-approved seal every time.
- Professional Grade: DOT-approved CA360 brass for maximum corrosion resistance and a secure, easy PTC (Push-to-Connect) seal.
- Precision Cuts: Always use a dedicated tube cutter when making cuts. Never use scissors or snips, as they can crush and deform the tube ends.
- Clean Edges: Check for any burrs on the edges of the tube before inserting it into the air fitting to ensure a smooth seat.
- Positive-Lock Seal: For maximum pressure retention, ensure your air line has a perfectly square cut. Firmly push the tube into the fitting until you feel it seat past the internal O-ring.
- Heat & Safety Protection: Always protect air lines with grommets when passing through metal. Never run nylon tubing near exhaust manifolds, tailpipes, or compressor leader hoses.
- The “One-and-Done” Rule: Measure twice, cut once. Most DOT fittings utilize a high-grip “grab ring” that does not tolerate repeated removal. Excessive test-fitting can score the line or stress the seal, so aim for a one-and-done

The Anatomy of a Positive-Lock Seal Fitting: When your air line is inserted into an EZ AIRRIDE brass fitting, it passes through a series of stainless steel gripping teeth before seating firmly against the internal O-ring. This provides a Positive-Lock Seal with our signature Airtight Integrity against the OD (Outer Diameter) of the tube. Think of it like the classic Chinese Finger Trap: the internal stainless steel grab ring is engineered so that as system pressure increases, the teeth actually wedge deeper into the line. The harder the air pushes out, the tighter the fitting bites down. This mechanical “grip” ensures the tube remains perfectly seated against the internal brass ferrule and positive-stop cavity, preventing the tube deformation and “wobble” that causes leaks in subpar alternatives.
- The Bottom Line: Don’t be fooled by generic “quick-release” marketing. While many sellers claim these are designed for repeated use, the reality is that every removal scores the air line and stresses the internal O-ring. Our fittings are engineered for a Permanent, One-and-Done Installation—because on a high-end classic, you only want to build it once.
- The truth about ‘Pre-Applied’ Coatings: Many other brass fittings, including our own DOT brass fittings, arrive with a red factory coating on the threads. While some retailers mistakenly market this as ‘ready-to-install,’ pros know this is primarily a factory base-coat or a protective layer for transit. To ensure true Airtight Integrity, always apply a dedicated liquid thread sealant or Teflon tape over the factory coating.
- Pro-Builder Tip: When applying your sealant, always leave the first two threads bare. This prevents excess fluid or tape fragments from being pushed into your manifold, valves, or other critical air components – the #1 cause of system failure. Build it right, build it once.”
